Stanwood Camano Giving Tuesday

Our focus this year for Giving Tuesday is maintaining a Safe Place for Teens at the CRC.  Help teens feel safe and welcome at the CRC with upgrades to our teen center, new programs, and a healthy snack fund.

Our mission is to build a healthier and stronger community through positive relationships, education, and support services. We envision an inclusive, thriving and connected community, where all members experience enriched and empowered lives.

In addition to our family support services, and new early childhood education programs, the CRC offers a Teen Late Night for high school aged teens to meet in a safe place and connect over food & fun once a week.  Participant elected activities have included outings, classes, celebrations, help with school work and more. Teens are provided scratch made meals and snacks that are often made with food harvested from the CRC garden patch. Here are a few testimonials from teens from the last couple of years: "I'm able to express myself freely with out having to worry about judgement."   "At the CRC, I am able to meet new people." "The CRC helped me to meet people in a new place.  It helped me be open to talking about myself with others."
